Who Should Apply and How?

Undergraduate students at the UM are eligible to apply. Students from other universities, colleges and seminaries are also welcome to the program. The program may be of particular interest to students in the following areas: Judaic/Jewish Studies, Israel Studies, Religious Studies, History, Anthropology, Archaeology, Sociology, and Philosophy. These credits can be used to fulfill major and minor requirements in the programs where there are equivalencies and for social scinces and humanities credits in General Education. Students should remember that they may also petition their departments for credits even if they are not listed as equivalencies.

They should be submitted with a transcript of grades, two academic letters of reference and a brief essay on the applicant’s objectives in the program. The deadline for applications for UGalilee 2010 is October 1, 2009. Late applications will be considered only up to October 25th on a space-available basis.

The University reserves the right to cancel any program that enrolls an insufficient number of students. Full refunds are made if the program is cancelled by UM or due to force majeure.
